The Denver Theatre District was initiated in 2009 to enliven a 16-block area of downtown Denver through interactive, immersive and experimental arts and culture events and experiences. I served as the Creative Director for the District from its inception through 2017. At that time creative interests within the District began to segregate into individual components that had achieved distinguished community interest, including Denver Digerati and the Supernova Digital Animation Festival, projects I initiated and managed through 2022. I designed and produced three publications towards understanding the District and work being done to advance public art activations, as well as a third focused exclusively on the unique attributes of Denver Digerati, emphasizing the platforms transformative work positioning digital animation as a new form of public art. The views here are of the publications and select pages within.
